Program Description : Sheppard Pratt School and Residential Treatment Center is a 46-bed program in Baltimore County. We serve youth ages 12-18 with emotional disabilities who need a specialized educational and therapeutic environment and benefit from structured community and recreational activities. We provide 24-hour care in a supportive and nurturing environment; youth attend our full-day special and general education school. We implement grade-level and adaptive curriculum from the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards and Baltimore County Public School curriculum. Within our collaborative learning environment, we help students meet their educational, social emotional, and behavioral goals through large and small group instruction. Students are supported by an interdisciplinary team of special education and therapeutic professionals. Each resident has an individualized therapy plan; our residents have access to individual and group psychotherapy, trauma-informed programming, family therapy, occupational therapy, medication management, therapeutic recreation services, community and recreational-based transitional activities, and more.
