Program Description : Sheppard Pratt School in Glyndon is a nonpublic special education day school located in Baltimore County; we provide year-round special education and therapeutic services to students in kindergarten through grade 12 with autism, emotional disability, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, other health impairment, specific learning disability, developmental delay, and speech or language impairment. Our program is located on a 43-acre picturesque campus that offers nature trails, a greenhouse, and a sensory-friendly playground. We provide specialized instruction, structured and compassionate care, and therapeutic activities. Students who attend Sheppard Pratt School in Glyndon receive a comprehensive and individualized program that integrates academics, behavioral strategies, and clinical support to provide them with the tools they need for success. We offer grade-level and adapted curricula from the Baltimore County Public School Curriculum and Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. Students have access to clinical counseling, case management, psychiatric and nursing services, occupational and physical therapy, speech and language therapy, nursing, and vocational and life skills training all while at school. And, to prepare students for life after school, we offer multiple career completer and elective opportunities in areas like culinary arts and technology, internships at local businesses, and the opportunity to take college-level courses at local community colleges. Opportunities for recreation are widespread as well: we offer weekly clubs, sports teams, and interactive events, ensuring that learning is welcoming and fun.
